About the Trials
Mamre Anglican School is opening the doors to its Football Academy for talented young footballers across Western Sydney.
Our 2027 Open Football Trials provide students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with the opportunity to trial for a place in the Mamre Football Academy and experience the high-performance environment that has helped develop players for representative, academy and professional football pathways.
Trial Dates
Tuesday 1st September 2026
- Junior School (K - 6) Trial Commences 6:50 am to 9:00 am
- Senior School (7 - 12): Trial Commences 7:55 am to 10:00 am
Tuesday 8th September 2026
- Junior School (K - 6): Trial Commences 6:50 am to 9:00 am
- Senior School (7 - 12): Trial Commences 7:55 am to 10:00 am
With a limited number of Football Scholarships also available, this is an opportunity for talented players to take the next step in their football journey while becoming part of the Mamre Anglican School community.
Open Football Trials
Could You Be Our Next Academy Player?
Mamre Football Academy is inviting talented footballers from the wider community to attend our 2027 Open Football Trials.
Trials are open to students entering or currently enrolled in:
Junior School (Kindergarten – Year 6)
Senior School (Year 7 – Year 12)
The trials will provide players with the opportunity to demonstrate their ability, experience the Mamre Football Academy environment and be considered for a place in the Academy for 2027.
A limited number of Football Scholarships will also be available to outstanding players identified through the trial process.
Players should arrive ready to take the field in their playing gear, including boots, socks and shin pads. Please also bring a spare change of clothes and shoes.
Football Scholarships
A limited number of Football Scholarships will be available to players identified through the 2027 Open Football Trials.
Successful applicants will receive a discount on tuition fees from the beginning of 2027 through to the completion of Year 12, subject to meeting the ongoing requirements of the scholarship.
Scholarship recipients will be expected to maintain a high level of application to:
- Their academic studies
- Football and relevant sporting commitments
- Co-curricular activities
- Their personal development and contribution to the school community
The level of each scholarship is determined at the Principal's discretion.

Sergio Malfara | Head of Football
Sergio Malfara has been instrumental in the growth and development of Mamre Football Academy, helping establish a high-performance culture centred on player development, clear pathways and a professional training environment.
Under his leadership, Mamre has continued to develop talented players and create opportunities for students to progress into representative, academy and professional football environments.
Nicky Carle | Head Coach
A former Socceroo and current Head of Football at Marconi Stallions, Nicky Carle brings extensive experience from the highest levels of Australian football.
Working alongside Sergio, Nicky has provided invaluable football knowledge, mentorship and guidance to students and coaches within the Academy.
Together, their experience and leadership have helped shape Mamre Football Academy into a program recognised for developing talented footballers, creating opportunities and inspiring the next generation.
Pursuing Excellence
Mamre Football Academy has established itself as one of Western Sydney's leading school football programs, providing students with a genuine pathway towards elite football through high-quality coaching, individual development and strong connections with the wider football community.
